Changed Horses
I now own a horse named Faivel.  He also would have been in such a bad way but somehow he stumbled into my life.  His first owner in America did not care she just wanted to sell him quick.  His second owner simply got into a personal mess and a financial disaster.  I am his third owner.  He is also blessed with a lessee who certainly has made a big difference in his life as well.
This wonderful horse, talented but now developed came to America with a problem called sheared hoof.  It means their hoof did not grow together correctly in Germany where he was born and an infection or fungus devloped which prevented the growth from completeing so he would have a solid hoof.

This problem was not solved for several years it took a very good vet to seek the problem out and a friend from Austria to find the chemical formula to help this horse.  It also took putting egg bar shoes on his feet for almost a year to allow the hoof to grow together.  He had devloped habit like spooking, no wonder he couln't trust his feet.  He would not move correctly because he could not trust his feet.

Well now he can trust his feet and he has grown to trust his humans again.  Now he can become the wonderful athlete he was meant to be.  This story too has a good ending.

The pain man causes because of pride
This story is about a abused neglected horse that came into my life about five years back.  A couple decided to buy him even though I told them I could never make him well.  I could never undo the damage done to the bones, the ligaments, and the spirit of this horse.  He by his vets comments is the sweetest horse on earth.  But he always winds up eventually with people who care more about their pride than him.  These many years later he is now going to go without important supplements for those painfilled bones.  All because of the human's pride.  They are so sure they know what to feed him and what he needs to be fed is mostly senior and very little hay.  Closeness to me bred contempt and the owner decided they know more than the vet and I so he suffers.  I grieve for these kind of animals.  Let's pray his story turns out wonderful like the other story I told all of you last month.
